Dramix 4D Combi Slab – The Perfect Solution for Heavy Duty Container Parks

McVeigh Consulting design the best possible solution for the new Logos Container Park at the Port of Brisbane.

McVeigh Consulting realised the significant advantages of removing all joints in an External H.D. Pavement, and so designed a “Seamless” Dramix 4D Combi Slab for the new 10,000m2 facility at the Port of Brisbane. Logos were again keen to have this solution for their new facility, which was built by McNab as one of their first steel fibre reinforced projects. QR Contracting placed the Boral concrete to a very high quality finish, in very tough conditions, and the facility is in full operation within a few weeks.

Technical solution:

  • Dramix Combi Slab
  • Dramix 4D + Mesh
  • No moving joints

Benefits

Seamless Dramix 4D Combi Slabs eliminate all joints throughout the entire pavement, which in turn eliminates the highest risk area for future deteriation and maintenance, particularly under very high loads such as blocked stacked containers and container handlers.
Location: Fisherman’s Island. Port of Brisbane, QLD Australia
