Car park topping slab
This basement car park required a thin layer unbonded topping to remediate over a cracked and damaged slab. Unbonded toppings are inherently difficult to detail; there is a risk of reflective cracking from defects and joints from the slab below and in this case there were lots of re-entrant corners and drains. They typically require lots of joints that would require ongoing maintenance.
The Dramix® 4D Combi Slab solution enabled the construction of this joint free 100mm thick topping layer.
Technical solution:
- Fibre type: DRAMIX® 4D 65/60BG
- Additional Reinforcement - top layer of light mesh
- Constructed with no moving joints
- C30/37 concrete
Benefits
- Slab reduction for the same capacity
- Large saw cut free slabs
- Reduced long term maintenance
- Fast construction
