S & C Concrete Services have placed another top level Dramix Jointless Slab at the new QLD Glass facility, and both Tomkins and the Port Authority are so impressed that it has now been set as the benchmark for their future projects. And on top of that, they were able to pour all 7000m2 in just 6 days!

Have you ever wondered how Dramix (SRFRC) would perform in a retail space? If so, head down to the Spud Shed in Baldivis. Project was constructed with large panel pours and utilised Dramix 3D fibres. A fantastic finish was achieved and now over 12months old the slabs look immaculate.

Douglas Constructions have constructed another Dramix steel fibre warehouse slab at Larapinta, again designed and specified by McVeigh Consulting engineers. Achieving the best possible solution, whilst saving significant time, Dramix was used in the Footings and Slabs. Bess Concrete placed very high quality floors in a short timeframe, with the ready-reinforced concrete supplied by Holcim.

Dramix warehouse slab designs offer greater design efficiencies. The Stihl warehouse has now been in operation for around 4years now and is performing very well. Yet another example of how well a Dramix steel fibre reinforced slab does perform.

This 48,000m2 floor area facility will be used to store tobacco leafs, process and final packaging. Initial design was using 40kg/m3 loose low performing type fibre. With the combined effort with our partner Infratex Environmental Services Philippines Inc – Bekaert®’s proposal was to use a high performance fibre floor solution at a lower dose rate.

Tobacco industry remains high in South East Asia, some producers are opening new production facilities or upgrading their production facility. Due to superior performance against cracking and to minimize slab joints. A Dramix solution was chosen to upgrade two production facilities one at British American Tobacco in Malang, East Java and the other at Japan Tobacco International (JTI) in Malang. Both production facilities in Pasuruan utilise the same high performance Dramix solution.

The new 27,000sqm Northline facility in Regency Park, South Australia utilised the tried and tested Dramix fibre only jointless solution for the internal slabs. With the external slabs adopting a Dramix Combi Slab, enabling the removal of all saw cuts and all dowelled joints from the pavement. Having no joints makes for the most efficient design with the additional benefit of long term reduced maintenance cost with the removal of costly jointing systems.

One of the major benefits when using Dramix steel fibre reinforced concrete (DSFRC) is the efficiency in design, efficiency in construction and the cost effective solutions that can be achieved.
The below images are a small sample from various project sin the North West that have utilised Dramix in the concrete.

Douglas Constructions, along with Malcolm Douglas Consultants, choose Dramix steel fibre again as the best solution for their Walsh Family Transport warehouse project at Berrinba QLD. Stage 1 of the warehouse facility was 5800m2 and was able to be supplied by Neilsens Concrete and placed by ShepCon Contracting in just over a week, helping to achieve the very tight deadline for the project.

Douglas Constructions propose another Dramix steel fibre solution to Dexus Property Group for their new warehouse facility at Larapinta as a faster, cost effective, and overall better solution. The 23,000m2 warehouse was supplied by Holcim Concrete and poured by Bess Concrete to an outstanding quality in a very short timeframe.

There have been several projects designed and completed in Melbourne for Australand by Anglo Italian Concrete P/L, using the Formula Floors D & C approach. The CABAC facility at Seven Hills, is the first Formula Floors package put forward by Anglo Italian and accepted by Australand in Sydney.

The 8,000 sqm internal slab was designed to carry a 6 tonne post load and had to be a burnish finish providing a hard wearing, very flat floor.

Concrete was supplied by Hanson Construction Materials, at Pendle Hill and the slab area was completed in 7 pours. All Dramix® Steel Fibre Concrete was placed by Laser Screed resulting in very flat tolerances.

As well as the ground slabs there were two composite suspended slabs on King Floor 70 decking incorporating Dramix® high performance RC80/60 BN steel fibres. This allowed for ease of placement and met with OH&S standards on site.
