Griya Idola Industrial Park just launched a new industrial area in Tangerang, west of Jakarta. The pavement is prepared for heavy truck loads and long term usage. Original design is 300mm thick slab with K400 concrete reinforced by 2 layer of wiremesh M8. This was completely replaced with Dramix 3D fibres, first slab was cast in 2014 and still continue until today.

The new 27,000sqm Northline facility in Regency Park, South Australia utilised the tried and tested Dramix fibre only jointless solution for the internal slabs. With the external slabs adopting a Dramix Combi Slab, enabling the removal of all saw cuts and all dowelled joints from the pavement. Having no joints makes for the most efficient design with the additional benefit of long term reduced maintenance cost with the removal of costly jointing systems.

The external yard pavements, which are heavily worked, were designed without saw cuts and had armoured full depth high moving plate dowels at 25m centres.

On the back of a number of successful external container pavements and due to the busy nature of the facility and the fact that joints require maintenance. The Combi Slab solution was chosen because it removed all joints including saw cuts and dowelled joints, leaving a surface that requires little or no maintenance at all.

One of the major issues facing an external pavement is the required jointing. Unless regularly maintained, generally yearly and in some cases monthly these external pavements are destined to fail at some point. This can cause reduced productivity due to the failure in the slab joints and during any repairs that need to be carried out, unfortunately repairs tend to be just a band aid never really fixing the underlying issue, the joint has failed.
This is where Dramix Combi Slab can reduce and in many cases remove all the joints including saw cuts and dowelled joints, leaving a surface that will require little or no maintenance at all.

External apron slabs and hardstands, 12,0002, for 100t axle load Container fork lift and containers.

Internal waste transfer processing slab 2000m2 to handle very aggressive domestic waste with low PH level.

Application: Dramix® Combi Slab

This was an external pavement for a recycling facility with container and forklift loads. Dramix 4D Combi Slab was used to remove all the saw cuts and the inherent ongoing maintenance cost associated with saw cuts having to be re-sealed and saw cuts not initiating.
