McVeigh Consulting again specified a “Seamless” Dramix 4D Combi Slab for the 22,000m2 Container Park to handle the huge loads from the massive forklifts and stacked containers.
Dramix Jointless slabs were used for the 15,000m2 internal warehouse as well.
And on top of that Dramix was used in the Footings throughout the facility too.

Constructed back in 2012, there are 4 major intersections between Karratha and Dampier. Each intersection constructed using a concrete slab reinforced with Dramix 3D fibres. These intersections are noted to have between 14,000 – 20,000 vehicle movements per day ranging from standard vehicle loads to major road train loadings. So if you’ve ever wondered if those little fibres can handle the load, here’s a great example of yes they can.

Built in 2016 this truck stop is located in Karratha, North West Western Australia. The facility is located on the North West Coastal Hwy, servicing many travellers and heavy haulage vehicles in the area.

The addition of Dramix steel fibres offered additional crack control for heavily trafficked roundabouts at the Perth International Airport precinct.

These roundabouts have been in service now for 9 years, take a look next time you’re heading off on an overseas trip.

A Combi Slab (steel fibres + mesh or bar reinforcing) solution was used for the Internal Warehouse Slabs, the External Pavements as well as Rail Track Slab.

Dramix 4D 65/60BG at varying dosages was combined with conventional bar reinforcing for the track slabs and various mesh options for the internal slabs and external pavements.

Elizabeth Quay is a mixed-use development project in the Perth central business district. Located on the north shore of Perth Water and centred on the landmark Swan Bells, it was named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II during her Diamond Jubilee.
BOSFA and Dramix are very proud to have been involved in this iconic project, construction of the SFRC slabs started in 2012 and completed some 12 months later. As you meander around this fantastic precinct, be rest assured you are walking on Dramix SFRC concrete pavements, clad with magnificent locally sourced granite paving. Even the curved steps and seats are all resting on Dramix SFRC.

This project is for the external pavement for the new Dinding facility in Lumut. The pavement is reinforced with Dramix®  3D fibre for heavy traffic load. The slab has a broomed finish to add friction on the road for traffic. This project is still ongoing, Main contractor by ETEC (Korea) consultant by Royal Haskoning and external slab executed by Sathia Construction.

Sentul City, one of the largest residential developer in Indonesia starts to use Dramix® steel fibre to reinforce their road pavement. The job was done by contractor PT Infratek, an infrastructure specialist with Dramix® experience having completed, Griya Idola Industrial Park project previously. This project adds to the growing list of Dramix® projects in Indonesia.

11,000m2 External Container Pavement (Independent Real Estate Consortium)

Dramix 4D Combi Slab allowed for significant reduction in slab thickness from Conventional Design, including Client requirement for fully-loaded Container Pavement (no BPA reduction factor applied), the removal of Saw Cuts also attractive for long-term maintenance savings.

As any owner of a commercial facility knows the concrete slab is the life line of the operation, if it fails its very difficult to operate and keep up the demands of the day to day efficiencies required of any commercial operation. This is why the Dramix Combi Slab option offers such a perfect solution. With the removal of not only saw cuts but also dowelled joints, the risk of the slab not being operational from a damaged joint is completely eliminated.
With the removal of joints the overall slab can also be designed thinner and more robust and this is why container yards are now opting for this solution, the benefits far out way the risk of a failed slab.
Well done to Kerman’s, Perth Concrete Services and Holcim for an excellent job.

Griya Idola Industrial Park just launched a new industrial area in Tangerang, west of Jakarta. The pavement is prepared for heavy truck loads and long term usage. Original design is 300mm thick slab with K400 concrete reinforced by 2 layer of wiremesh M8. This was completely replaced with Dramix 3D fibres, first slab was cast in 2014 and still continue until today.

The new 27,000sqm Northline facility in Regency Park, South Australia utilised the tried and tested Dramix fibre only jointless solution for the internal slabs. With the external slabs adopting a Dramix Combi Slab, enabling the removal of all saw cuts and all dowelled joints from the pavement. Having no joints makes for the most efficient design with the additional benefit of long term reduced maintenance cost with the removal of costly jointing systems.
