Technical solution:

  • External solution for low maintenance durable pavements was to design using the Dramix Combi slab by removing all moving joints.
  • Internal durable slab to resist chemical attack
  • Challenges internally brought about by high strength concrete for durability

Benefits

There were benefits with all aspects of the Dramix design with no moving joints which tend to breakdown under very heavy axle loads, as well as very tight crack control to avoid chemical ingress.
